The Jenkins model BL-1 Door-Flashering is designed to provide Audible and Visual notification of a person desiring entry into a building or area. The unit consists of a 2-1/2" vibrating 12 Volt AC bell and flashing amber incandescent light mounted on an attractive formed metal sound reflecting neutral platinum beige painted plate.

The 2-1/2" vibrating 12 VAC Bell operates similar to a conventional door bell in that it rings as long as the door bell push switch is held in. However, the unit is unique in that it provides a hold in feature that allows the light to flash at 100 flashes per minute for 45 seconds after the door bell push switch has been operated, giving the occupant sufficient time to observe the flashing light.

APPLICATIONS

Excellent for those applications where the door bell may not be heard, such as for the hearing impaired. The added 45 second flashing amber light improves the possibility of the occupant being alerted.

MOUNTING

Semi-Flush mounting is obtained by use of a 4" square x 1-1/2" back box recessed in the wall.
A special back plate is provided that mounts to the 4" square box. A separate 15 Volt Ampere transformer is required which should be located in a remote area.

The Jenkins Model L-1 Remote Flashing Light Unit is designed to provide the capability of connecting a remote flashing light to the Model BL-1 Door-Flashering Master Unit. The unit consists of a 2-1/2" Amber light unit mounted on a 4" square stainless steel plate.

The Remote Flashing Light Unit operates at the same flashing rate and sequencing as the basic master unit, 45 seconds at 100 F.P.M.

APPLICATIONS

Excellent for placement in several areas within the living area to ensure the occupant is alerted that the door bell has been operated.

MOUNTING

Flush mounting is obtained by use of a standard 4" square x 1-1/2" back box recessed in
the wall.

The Jenkins Model BL-1R Door-Flashering Repeater Unit is designed to operate as a repeater unit to the Model BL-1 Door Flashering Master Unit.

The unit consists of a 2-1/2" vibrating 12 Volt AC bell and a flashering amber light.

The Model BL-1R Door Flashering Repeater Unit receives its pulsing power signals and hold in features from the BL-1 Master Unit. The bell continues to ring and the light continues to flash as long as the master unit is signaling. The repeater unit provides the opportunity to have a second Door-Flashering unit at a lower cost.

APPLICATIONS

The Door-Flashering unit is excellent for apartments or homes with multiple living quarters.
